Here I am doing a SWOT analysis on the animation I am going to create for the client.

Strengths

- I have a clear idea for the way I am going to begin and end my animation, which gives a strong framework for storytelling and engagement from the audience.
- I have created concept art to clearly visualise my ideas and the overall aesthetic I am going for.
- Based on the 4-10 year old target audience, the idea for my animation caters to what this range might enjoy, so it will increase the chance of the animation's effectiveness and reception.
- In the characters, I have embedded the colour scheme and logo of the brand which can effectively reinforce the recognition and brand identity.
- I would say that I also have simple yet decent skill in drawing which can provide a solid foundation for me to create visuals in my animation.
- I found using a graphics tablet easy for the parts of the animation that I wanted to digitally draw myself and made it more efficient than using a mouse to draw.
- Since I will be using Adobe Animate to animate, I completed the set tutorials in the software to get familiar with the tools and techniques and help myself when I get to the animating part.
- I found the brief quite interesting which helped me motivate myself for this project.
- I have prior experience with stop motion animation which can add to my own skill set.
- Working individually suits me better as I can have more focus which allows for my own creative control over the project.

Weaknesses

- Although I have previously done stop animation, I did not have to use any technical software like Animate, which may lead to me coming across challenges which could affect my own workflow.
- Similar to this, I will have to adjust to a new and unfamiliar software (Adobe Animate) which will require time and effort to become proficient in this.
- Being able to complete this project within the timeframe I have been given may require for me to improve my own time management skills.

Opportunities

- Being able to collaborate with a business and completing a brief set by a them can offer real-world experience and potential networking opportunities for me.
- I can develop my skills with the new software Adobe Animate which can expand my own skill set.
- This project also allows for my own creative expression and experimentation to be put to work.
- Utilising my existing drawing and animation interests can allow for more engagement and satisfaction with the project.

Threats

- The fact that there is quite a tight timescale for this project causes pressure on myself to work more efficiently without my work lacking quality.
- Coming back to the new software again, having to learn new software may mean I need more time to adjust than anticipated.
- Not having access to the required hardware might make it difficult to do certain tasks if at all.
- Having to adhere to the constraints of the brief can limit my creativity and originality.

In this post shows my pre production process of my animation. Pre Production Synopsis My idea for the animation is to have a basic looking backdrop in both of them; the first one it will be sunny and warm weather and the second will be cold and snowy. There will be a few characters, who each will have a different type of reaction towards the weather having a quick change. This idea of it being unrealistic can add some comedy to it which could make the target audience have a laugh about it. Medium The type of medium I will be using TV because this animation is for idents which will remind whoever is watching which TV channel they are watching. The programs I will be using for this project will include Photoshop for the drawings and Animate for animating it frame by frame, both with the help of using a graphics tablet to get the drawings more accurate to what I want. In this post I will go through how I made my animation in Animate. Animation in comparison to storyboard I got this the same as my storyboard as it was just to show the background. In my storyboard I had it so it was more zoomed out while the character is drinking, but changed it to being further zoomed in for that. I got this the same as my storyboard as it was just to show the new background. I ended up not having him shivering and running away because it would have added more time on to the animation, when it is meant to be 15 seconds. Instead I made his face change to sad after it snowed. In my storyboard I had it so the main focus was the jam sandwich saying Flip TV, but since it would have been too pixelated if I made it fill the screen, I kept it in the bottom and added text above it.
