In this post shows my pre production process of my animation. Pre Production Synopsis My idea for the animation is to have a basic looking backdrop in both of them; the first one it will be sunny and warm weather and the second will be cold and snowy. There will be a few characters, who each will have a different type of reaction towards the weather having a quick change. This idea of it being unrealistic can add some comedy to it which could make the target audience have a laugh about it. Medium The type of medium I will be using TV because this animation is for idents which will remind whoever is watching which TV channel they are watching. The programs I will be using for this project will include Photoshop for the drawings and Animate for animating it frame by frame, both with the help of using a graphics tablet to get the drawings more accurate to what I want. Running time The running time for these will be 15 seconds long because it can't be too long as it might have less of ...

Premiere Pro From Animate, I saved each of the scenes as separate MP4 clips to then import into Premiere Pro. Since I did not do this while in Animate, I went back to photoshop and drew over the character's eyes to make them look closed, and saved it as a PNG to put in the part where he blinks, as before it just looked like he had no eyes. Then to make the spring to winter transition look a bit more seamless, I went to the effect panel, into video transitions, dissolve, and dragged the dip to white transition between these two clips, which made it flash white and show the snow after it. I made a load of layers of text which spells out "you are watching" and made it so they all appear after each other. Then since the text was really big in comparison to the actual Flip TV, I just resized it all down so it matched a bit more. Sound I made a sound which sounds like walking for the character coming into the frame. I made a sound here for the character blinking I made a sound ...

In this post I will go through how I made my animation in Animate. Animation in comparison to storyboard I got this the same as my storyboard as it was just to show the background. In my storyboard I had it so it was more zoomed out while the character is drinking, but changed it to being further zoomed in for that. I got this the same as my storyboard as it was just to show the new background. I ended up not having him shivering and running away because it would have added more time on to the animation, when it is meant to be 15 seconds. Instead I made his face change to sad after it snowed. In my storyboard I had it so the main focus was the jam sandwich saying Flip TV, but since it would have been too pixelated if I made it fill the screen, I kept it in the bottom and added text above it. Rough edit This is the rough edit for my animation put together in Premiere Pro. Below is the process of animation in Animate. Adobe Animate I set up the page by making the stage the same size as w...

Uses - Children Children’s animation is a vibrant and essential genre that often features colourful, imaginative worlds populated by relatable characters for children to connect with and learn from. The primary goal of children’s animation is to show age appropriate content that is both entertaining and educational, helping with cognitive and emotional development. Storylines in children's animation typically revolve around themes of friendship, problem solving, and moral lessons, presented in a way that can be appealing to young viewers. Animation allows for an exaggerated and whimsical visual style that captures the attention of children and stimulates their imaginations. An example of how a children's animation can be both fun and instructive like the animated series Peppa Pig. The show follows Peppa, along with her family and friends, as they go on various everyday adventures. Each episode is made to show simple life lessons such as sharing, kindness, and understanding emot...

Here I am doing a SWOT analysis on the animation I am going to create for the client. Strengths - I have a clear idea for the way I am going to begin and end my animation, which gives a strong framework for storytelling and engagement from the audience. - I have created concept art to clearly visualise my ideas and the overall aesthetic I am going for. - Based on the 4-10 year old target audience, the idea for my animation caters to what this range might enjoy, so it will increase the chance of the animation's effectiveness and reception. - In the characters, I have embedded the colour scheme and logo of the brand which can effectively reinforce the recognition and brand identity. - I would say that I also have simple yet decent skill in drawing which can provide a solid foundation for me to create visuals in my animation. - I found using a graphics tablet easy for the parts of the animation that I wanted to digitally draw myself and made it more efficient than using a mouse to dra...

I am going to discuss the techniques used for different forms of animation, which include line drawing, cel drawing, rotoscoping and 2D/3D animation.  I will evaluate and explain each of them and include what techniques  are used and include examples of animations previously made with this. Line drawing Line drawing animation is a technique where images are drawn  using basic brush or pen strokes that can vary in thickness and angle to create different forms of lines and depth and texture, and done  frame by frame to create motion. The time it takes to animate a frame of line drawing depends on the complexity and style of the art. For a simpler drawing with little detail, it can take as little as two minutes to sketch the lines. For more detailed art it could take up to twenty minutes or longer to make sure every line is to the artists standards and shows the movement accurately. This timeframe also considers factors like planning and concepts for the final result . ...

Concept ideas Moodboard Gantt chart Running order - recordings All of my recordings are going to be fairly straight forward, which means I will be able to complete them all in one day. Risk assessment Concept art Here I have gone into some detail about how I want my characters to look and a rough idea for how I want the scene/background to look. I want each of the characters to have a different reaction when the weather changes in the scene. I plan on having some close ups of the main character doing something which relates to the season they are in; spring shows him having a drink and eating a Flip TV jam sandwich, and winter shows him building a snowman and his Flip TV coloured scarf. This will include a storyline based on a situation of it snowing out of nowhere Equipment I will need - Microphone for the voice recordings and foley sounds I will make - Graphics tablet if it gets difficult drawing with a mouse - Computer which has access to Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Premiere Pro
